Kaffeine Plays dvd's but just blue screen

I have installed Suse 9.3 on an IBM t23 thinkpad. It's great but for the old problem with movie playback. I Have uninstalled/reinstalled Kaffeine with libdvdcss from packman. The movie seems to play but all I see is a blue screen. I have tried Mplayer and I get a window saying Vobsub:Bas majic in IFO header. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help. A very useful link. In the end I installed Ogle running from a command line and this works fine. Thanks again.
