kaffe & tomcat

I installed kaffe-1.0.7-1mdk.i586.rpm
It works fine.
When I type "which kaffe", I got /usr/bin/kaffe
I made and compiled it. I typed "kaffe Welcome" and the program worked.

Then, I installed tomcat4-4.0.4-full.2jpp.noarch.rpm

I changed conf file.
in /etc/tomcat4/tomcat4.conf

I started tomcat4 and got an error under /var/log/tomcat4

It says
Couldn't find or load essential class 'java/lang/Object' java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError java/lang/Object

Does anybody know how to set up kaffe and tomcat?

Would you please help me?

Hi, did you solve your problem ?

Because I am in a similar situation, I have installed Kaffe 1.0.6 and I am trying to run Tomcat 4.0.5 on the same machine (OpenBSD).

I get the same error as you, so did you find any solution about it ?
