K3B - way to reset GUI?

When I was burning some CDs in K3B, I clicked a couple of the little tiny X icons that close some of the individual panes for things like the file browser, etc. I'm not sure what I was doing, but now I cannot figure out how to get them back. All I've got is the directory browser filling up the entire window. Under the "Settings" menu I can tell it to open these things again, however it doesn't open them in the same window! For instance, if I tell it to open the thing for Directory Contents, instead of placing it in one of the sections of the K3B window, it opens it in a totally seperate window. The same is true for any of the things I tell it to open.

I tried deleting the hidden K3B directory in my home dir, thinking it might contain some of this type of config info, but nothing changed. So, I uninstalled K3B, deleted everything I could find with the name K3B, and reinstalled. Nothing changed at all.

How can I get it back to how it should be?

well thats all you can do, is go to the settings menu and click the windows you want to re-open....but when you say they open in seperate windows you have to re-dock them windows...if you look right to the immediate left of them little x's you originally clicked to close them windows, you'll notice little diagnol arrows that you have to click to insert them back into k3b for they won't be seperate windows.

OK, but when I click those little arrows they just dock/undock from one another, and never redock to the main K3B window...

The Windows That group together should also have another bar above them with another little arrow, that allows you to rejoin them to the main window. (Look In the Extreme top right just under the main X for the whole window.)

I finally figured it out...

None of the little arrows anywhere would redock them with the main window. However, I finally found that if you click and drag the windows by the small area with fine horizontal lines through it located right at the very top of each windows, then I can use that to redock them in.

Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem after a frustrating sequence of reinstalls (k3b refused to recognise the drives unless they both had CDs in while running set-up).

To restore docking, I had to uninstall k3b via drakconf, delete the config file ~/.kde/share/config/k3brc and reinstall, then I could feel justified in telling my work colleague that Nero 6 is just a "waste of money"...

I really didn't need this on top of the Halt fiasco, but it's all better now.
