Unhappy K3b Version:0.11.12 AND CDRDAO PROBLEM!!


Hy all i am using slackware 10.0 and i installed recently the K3b. My record is a LG 4040B

I am having problems with the k3b when i start recording a image my speed goes to 0 and give me a error output here he goes:

cdrdao comand:

/usr/bin/cdrdao write --device ATAPI:/dev/hdc --driver generic-mmc:0x00000010 --speed 24 -n -v 2 --eject --remote 19 /tmp/kde-vador/k3bp0Mdnb.tmp.cue
SO i need help with my drive :S what cdrdao is doing wrong??!

Try the suggestion that the output spat at you. The generic-mmc and generic-mmc-raw drivers are usually sufficient for almost every drive. Try to change the driver that cdrdao uses.

You can verify if this is true by attempting your burn from the CLI. man cdrdao will give you the clues, if you read it carefully (coming from one who has pieced together what it means). I suspect that if you do that, you'll write the disk just like stick.

hi!

In k3b i can't change that option i tried that in the k3b frontend but now i will use directly the cdrdao with that driver. Then i will give some news

I can't put k3b working it gives same error when i put that driver!!

When you click on "Burn" choose "Writing mode" - RAW.
excuse my english, it's no soo good
