k3b/vcdimager missing library

Hi all, i want to be able to write vcd's with k3b, so i installed the vcdimager-0.7.23-i686-1jto.tgz package then restarted k3b, chose vcd and it tells me it cannot find the vcdimager executable. When i try to run "vcdimager" in a shell i get:
vcdimager: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Two things really, what library am i missing and once i have this will k3b find vcdimager?

Any help appreciated.

libcdio contains the library you are looking for.

can't find it

I've installed libcdio, but when I try to configure vcdimager, it stills says that the lib is missing. It says I need version 0.72 or higher and I've installed 0.78. any advice?
