k3b Problems with Video CD

hi,

i am having a problem with k3b. I have many video files that i recorded myself via TV Card under Windows. I recorded them in DV and converted them to SVCD compatible MPEG2. Under windows Nero and WinOnCD could burn the SVCD correct without recompliling the video files. But k3b always means that the file has to be mpeg1 or mpeg2.

Is there any difference between an Linux mpeg1/2 and a windows mpeg1/2????

it is also strange that i have installed all available Video Players but only one can playback the file...

my distro is SuSE 8.2 Proffessional
