K3b Plugin For CD Text

Does K3b have a plugin that will allow you to burn the disk with CD Text? I would like to burn audio CD's and have my CD player display the name of the song as titled from the .MP3 file.

Quoting http://k3b.plainblack.com/about (k3b site), under "K3b Features":

Quote:

Creating audio cds:

* Pluggable audio decoding. Plugins for WAV, MP3, FLAC, and Ogg Vorbis are included.
* CD-TEXT support. Will automagically be filled in from tags in audio files.
* Write audio cds on-the-fly without decoding audio files to wav before.
* Normalize volume levels before writing.
* Cut audio tracks at the beginning and the end.
To me it seems that it "just works", but for more information, refer to the website of K3b first. You should have done that in the first place.

Oh, if your music files aren't tagged, that probably won't work.

CD Text is already supported in k3b and has been for many years. When you setup your audio cd project and click on burn, there is a window that pops up with tabs for Writing, Images, CD Text and Advanced. Click on the CD text tab and make sure that "Write CD-Text" is selected.

Hmm - I thought I did that. Perhaps my cd player in my car is not supporting that feature. Could be a hardware issue on my part. Perhaps I should rad the manual on my cd player.

// A little off topic, but instead of burning simple audio CD's, burn CD-Extra's instead. A CD-Extra, or CD-Plus is an audio CD with a data track at the end. It will play ordinarily on CD Players and will display the data track on a PC. You can put artist information, cover art or readme's on the data track. It's really cool!

By the way, be sure to make it a CD-Extra, with the data track at the end, and not a Mixed Mode CD, with the data track at the beginning. //
