K3B Permissions Error

I for some reason can't start up K3B as a regular user and burn CD's/DVD's. I get this error message when K3B starts...

Permissions Error

Then I get the option to adjust permissions for k3b and my user account "carlos" in the link below.

K3B Setup

What do I do to correct this problem and allow k3b to function under my user account?

That is a useless error I used get it all the time and my burning of CD/DVDs still worked fine to get rid of it use chmod +s /usr/bin/cdrdao this will set the suid bit and get rid of the error not really the Debian way but it works for me .... Oops just looked at the error picture it is cdrecord I believe you are using Debian right then use dpkg-reconfigure cdrecord and choose Yes to setting it suid then the error will go away if you end up with the cdrdao one do as suggested above and if not using Debian then the same applies for the cdrecord.

"dpkg-reconfigure cdrecord" seemed to do the trick!
