K3B not detecting Writer

Hi,

I am using FC3 with 2.6.9-1.667 kernel and k3b-0.11.14-2.

Its not detecting my writer in normal user mode. Its working fine as root. I need to again and again logout and relogin whenever i burn cds. Please suggest a solution.

PS: I know that i can start another X server temporarily, but thats not a SOLUTION

do a google on how to change the permissions k3b needs for normal users. ( I would tell you but I never use that way).

The other way is launch k3b with the command:

su -c /opt/kde/bin/k3b (or wherever k3b is)
<passwd>

or use the sudo command.

Hi,

I downgraded to FC2 for the time being. There are many many more different problems with FC3 for me. I will upgrade after FC3 has been tested and repaired by more and more people.
