If you look at the dvd from your file manager (or command line - cd into the folder) you will probably see several .vob files. The .vob files range in size. 667M is in the range. There are also text files.
So, I'd suspect you are only copying one of several .vob files.
Try again; see if k3b gives you the option to select all of the contents of the dvd for copying.
i'm using the Tools->Copy DVD command. The name would imply that this should copy the entire DVD; if it's only copying one file surely this is an issue with K3b?
