K3b Configuration Bug?

Dear friends:

[Using Xandros 2.0 and the latest Debian package for K3b 0.10.3]

I think there is a bug in Settings, K3Setup, External Programs, Foundprograms. When I UNcheck cdrecord and cdread (which I am required to doso as not to conflict with Xandros's own CD Writer, which uses itsXandros File Manager), I then press ENTER and get the "Changesuccessful. I then hit OK, thinking that the changes have been made. Butwhen I exit K3b, then reopen it, those options (cdread, cdrecord) areCHECKED again. They have not been UNchecked. The UNchecking did notpersist between sessions. It did not take. No matter how many times Irepeat this, these two options remain UNchecked. What to do? What precisely should I do if the UNchecking does not stick? Is there aconfiguration workaround that would allow me to make these changes stick? I very much do want to use K3b. It seems like the rightapplication for my needs. So, please, what to do? And why not add a Savebutton that will do the trick. Many other uses (like myself) had no ideathat you are supposed to press ENTER. But, as you can see, even ENTER does not work. What to do?

Thanks so much.

Benjamin

Dear salparadise:

Thanks for writing.

Yes, absolutely. I made the changes as root. In fact, there is no way to access K3b Setup except as root. But, just in case, I logged out and logged back in as Adm and tried to make the changes. Again, the changes did NOT take. Same issue.

Thanks again.

Benjamin
