k3b can't find emovix

I have installed emovix and for some reason K3b cannot detect it. The prefix is /usr/local and /usr/local/bin is in the path. I am using k3b 0.11.14 (from a packman rpm) on Suse 9.1 pro. Do I just need to recompile k3b from source?

Suse RPM's don't work well on slack. Redhat and Feora RPMS work, but not all the rime, because Slack puts things in deifferent directories compared to Redhat/Fedora. Compile it from source and I think it should work fine for you.

Hi there!

I have the same problem... my k3b (selfcompiled) won't find emovix...

Have tried it on SuSE8.2 and Slack 10.0 both with the same result.

Everything works fine... but emovix isn't found... have added searchpath's myself... didn't change a thing

Anyone has an idea?

Thanks

Precisely the same prob here on a Mandrake-10.1 with :
- libk3b2-0.11.16-3mdk
- k3b-0.11.16-3mdk (also tried with k3b-0.17)
- emovix-0.9.0-0.rc1.1plf

k3b won"t find emovix, whatever i logg as a user or as root.
But k3bsetup is OK, as well as other softwares used by k3b.

So I added /usr/share/emovix path to K3B config (as user then as root), but it still doesn't find emovix.

whereis emovix says : /usr/share/emovix
...which also is emovix directory !?
Normal PATH is : /usr/local/share/emovix (on a tarball install).

mkmovixiso binary lies here : /usr/bin/mkmovixiso
And this doen't help at all to force it into K3B config.

Note that i never had this issue on MDK-9.x or 10.0 !

Having read theonebeyond's post, it doesn't encourage me to compile those softs, or build rpm from sources.

Other users have had this problem :
- on a Mandrake > http://archives.mandrakelinux.com/de...4/msg00951.php
- on a debian testing kernel 2.4.26 (fr) > http://lea-linux.org/pho/read.php?4,164981,older
- On SuSe > http://www.pclinuxonline.com/article.php?sid=4458

I couldn't find any information on how to solve this issue
