k3b and libmad... no mp3 burning

Hey all,

While upgrading to kde 3.2 on my Suse 9 box, I had to uninstall k3b. I tried to install the suse 9.0 rpm again and there are conflict issues, so I went to install via source.

./configure said that libmad wasn't installed so it wouldn't have mp3 support. So I hunted down mad-0.15.0b-41.i586.rpm (which includes libmad.so.0) and successfully installed it.

Did ./configure again, and it still said I don't have libmad...

Any ideas?

Thanks.

this doesn't exactly solve the problem, but...

kde3.2 is a new kde level, so the code is different and libraries will have been renamed and moved so the program will probably not compile properly without extra commands (since it is designed for kde3.1)

or you could download this ftp://ftp.mars.org/pub/mpeg/libmad-0.15.0b.tar.gz

and install it and it worked for me, recompiling for install right now
