K3b


i got a back up program and it is K3B

i set it up listened to the guide turned the appened (i think that is what it is)
it said put "hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi"
did so and set it up
now i have it so that there is not a "cd reader" or a "cd writer" help!!

Did you compile your kernel with support for scsi emulation?

yes i did

i got the burner thing fixed but ...
i need to use the drive as a "reader" too is there a way i could use it as a "reader"/ writer
because i dont have any money in my checking acount for the rest of the month (stupid bills)
and i really need it for "reading" and writing

Try this.

Start thingy then Configuration then Mandrake Control Center. Click Mount Points then the CD ROM. See if it sees it that way. If it does it should work.

You can also set up your burner if you need to. Click the burner one for that.

Hope that helps a bit.

i dont have the option to mount "cd drive"
i get a cd/dvd burner only
