K menu - Games menu got deleted.
Yesterday I accidently deleted my Games menu from Menu. Now after fighting with the problem for over a day, I am still unable to get back that menus.
There were many links to games in that menu, so, it is almost impossible to make the menus myself. (also, I like the icons things)
Please help! is there a way to get those links back. If there are any entries in some files, please share... I am on Gentoo.

You could try update-menus -v in a terminal window.

there is no command update-menus
Code:
$ update-menus -v
bash: update-menus: command not found
I have deleted ./kde folder and still it is not helpful.
There is one observation! The menus are present when I login to KDE as root. But the /root/.kde/share/applnk/ folder is empty. This is the infomation regarding files in /applnk/ in (.kde and in /usr/kde/):
Code:
$ ls /home/rogue/.kde/share/applnk/
CrossOver Editors Internet Office Toys Windows_Applications
Development Graphics Multimedia System Utilities
$ ls /usr/kde/3.3/share/applnk/
Applications Games Internet KControl.desktop Settings System Toys Utilities konqueror.desktop
$ ls /usr/kde/3.3/share/applnk/Games/
quake3-smp.kdelnk quake3.kdelnk
# cd /root/.kde/share/applnk/

Try running the update-menus as root, so it can update ALL the menus.

Thanks for your input tredegar, but update-menus is probably some kind of tweak of Mandrake, because it was not there on my Gentoo box. I searched for it, but it is not available for Gentoo I think.
I just got my problem corrected!!!!
Code:
$ rm -frd /home/rogue/.config/
Just found .config/ was directory having some "menu" type file.... So I deleted out of intuition... and voila!!
Ah!!! I don't know why they did this change outside .kde/ directory. Anyway, thanks again for your time.
