jxta installation problem

Hi,

I am new to jxta-c and am interested in learning jxta-c but i have
problem with installing the jxta-c .I would like to summarize of
things done and the problem encountered.
I downloaded the src.zip to install jxta-c.
I followed the steps given in the Build.html to install jxta-c.
When i run the configure script i get the following error and script
execution terminates.

unable to open ldb
undefined reference to dbopen

I have installed BerkeleyDB.4.2 version and i am using
RedHat 9.0.
automake 1.9.2
libtool 1.5.10
autoconf 2.59
I am stuck with this for past couple of days. Any help on this will be
appreciated.
Thanks in advance
