Just wondering


Is wine susceptible to windows viruses?? Im not worried about it or anything and doubt they would actually "run", but was just wondering

Im going to guess no, because your not running a whole system, just certain programs.

Well, I'd say yes and no kind of. Say you have Outlook running with wine, and you get a virus that only affects Outlook by basically spreading the virus, etc. I would think yes, it would be affected in that way...

But I don't know for sure, your talking to someone who has never had a virus on his computer system before. Lucky me.. ( looking for some wood to knock on now.. )

same here, in my windows career only bumped into a couple js viruses but they were caught as soon as the web page was opened.

Now i want to find a good one and see if it works.
