hooked my box up to my tv... wanting to turn it into a game box. emulators and such.

the problem;
I have an xbox controller - but no xbox; else i'd just load out xbox linux.
i also have an xbox to USB conversion cable.

obviously i can't just plug it in and expect it to work - because it doesn't. Do drivers exist for this type of thing?

i also have a joystick. which i'm in need of drivers for as well.



running fedora 7 i386... i've been checking around my repositories and haven't found anything yet.. google wasn't much help either :/

I never used the Xbox-Classic controller on a computer, but I used a Xbox 360 wired controller in Linux. Worked flawlessly. If you have no luck with your controller, I highly recommend the 360 one. The wired is not that expensive and the position of the buttons, especially the black and white ones, are far better as well.
