Question John and Media codec


yoh.... have a question again..
What type of password that we can crack with John the ripper in kubuntu intrepid...
is there possible to crack sam file (login password) of vista and xp.. please tell me tho tutorial..

and the second one ,,, is there any program that has the same ability with "k-lite mega codec" for windows in kubuntu intrepid... tell me plz...

There's the win32codec pack. Perhaps if you explained what you are trying to do or what is not working, we can provide the solution.

one more question...
how do i installed it...
im using kubuntu intrepid live usb persistent..
and my media player are amarok, kplayer, mplayer, dragon player...
