Unhappy java plugin problem...

Hi,
I have recently installed j2sdk1.4.2 version on my redhat linux 9. I have moved the plugin 'libjavaplugin.so' to the plugins directory of my mozilla browser. But even when i restarted the mozilla it is not identifying the java plugin . The same thing happening with my opera and nescape browsers. can any one help me in figuring out the problem.

thanks,
siva

might be what you are linking to... My java plugin is linked to .../j2re1.4.1/plugin/i386/mozilla/javaplugin_oji.so
The file I found for my java is named j2re-1.4.1-01-linux-i586-gcc3.2.bin

One thing I found... you can't copy or move the plugin it has to be a link!
Hope that helps

there is a pluginreg.dat file in your MozillaFirebird directory that needs to be updated too. You should be able to see what to append to it from the install where you got the plugin from.
