java plugin for mozzila
i've searched for old questions for this one, nothing is working.
it never did when i was using rh8, now i'm on slack9 and it won't for my roommate still using rh either. he did the rpm, i did the bin but and we both made symbolic links to the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory, still no java vm. |
Which jre version are we talking,
and which plugin (from which of the jre's subdirectories) did you chose? Cheers, Tink |
I think this has something to do with glibc 2.3. At www.mozilla.org the release notes for Mozilla1.3 say you must use a special version of java called Blackdown.

alright, i got mine working with the i610 plugin i think, if that is the right name. it was last night, i can't remember. my roommate got blackdown too and he has mozilla 1.0.1 i think or something like that and i made sure he followed the same instructions as me, but he still doesn't have the plugin.
i used the one i used because other people seemed to use it. i couldn't figure out with any amount of reading which to use. |

I thought slackware doesn't deal with rpm's at all??? I read somewhere that you need to convert using rpm2tgz. But yet I always see that people are using rpm's with slackware. Can someone please explain
thanks |
