java enterprise in Linux

Hi,
i am trying to do some JSP,Servlet,Beans development, but i keep on finding difficulties. In my Debian Etch amd64 installation, i can find the sun jdk, but not the enterprise edition of it.
The solution was either installing it manually from sun or as a bundle with Netbeans. However, i must leave the Debian jdk package installed, since Tomcat depends on it.
I have now ended up having installed: Netbeans+Enterprise JDK bundle, the Debian JDK package, OpenEJB, ...
Isn't there a way to install a Debian-packaged Enterprise JDK? I have found a HOW-TO in http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO...WTO.html#ss5.1,
which is far from finished however. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

On a development station, I simply install the repository supplied JDK and then I install the full version of netbeans (which includes tomcat). Setting it all up from the repository tends to be an awful experience because of conflicting permissions between netbeans, mysql and tomcat.
On a server, you would not install netbeans so you could run the default tomcat and mysql.
