java applet does not display in firefox


Hi guy,
I am having problems getting a java applet to display in my firefox browser
even though i have jdk6 installed and i have enabled java in the content tab of the prefernce dialog box accessible from the edit menu,i hope i would get help on this and thank you all in advance.

Sounds like you don't have the Java plugin installed. The plugin has to be installed in your $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/plugins directory first. There should be install docs that came with your Java software, detailing how to do this.

Thank you,TBOne i have figured it out.i did have the java pluggin installed but i needed to create a symbolic link of libjavaplugin_oji.so in my firefox plugin directory from my jre plugin directory of my jdk installation.so it all working now.
