Question Java applet crash Mozilla and logout !!

Hi,

I'm using Mozilla (1.6) with JDK 1.4.2 from Sun, under Debian GNU/Linux with GNOME.
The Java plugin is correctly activated into Mozilla, and small applets seems to work correctly.
But when I'm trying to use "complex" applets, including dialog boxes, buttons..., Mozilla (or XFree ?) frequently crashes and I am loged out from my session.

I've tried to use several JDK and JRE (from Sun, IBM or BlackDown) and several Mozilla releases, but always with the same behaviour.
Is there any solution, as long as the same applets work correctly with Windows and IE

Thanks for any help,

Thierry

There seems to be a problem with Mozilla 1.6 and some versions of Java, altho i havent seen it written anywhere

It used to work fine for me, but when i updated Mozilla, it just crashes if i symlink the .so file.

It works fine for the other versions of Mozilla

Cheers

I'm still new to linux, so im probably wrong but if you open up the java control panel it has cache settings. If its larger apps then maybe you need to increase the maximum cache size?

Good luck !
