Java and Language Tools, Open Office 2.4
 

I am running Hardy, and useing Open Office 2.4 I like having Language Tools, as I have a habit of making stupid mistakes, like not capatalizing the first word of a sentence on accident.

Language tools is installed, as the Java Runtime Enviroment 6. When I click on Lnaguage tools, it says I have to instal the select the JRE under Tools, options, Java. I select the Java I have, and click ok. Then I click the language Tools icon again, and get the same error message. When I go back to tools, options, java, the JRE I choose has been unselected. I knwo I had this same problem with 2.3, and it was pretty simple to fix, but I can't remember what I did! Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

JRE6 may be installed, but is it your DEFAULT JRE?


Check "man update-alternatives"
