java


i have dowbload jdee, speed bar and packages, as well as EMACS LISP directory, i have installed them using the "make"command, so the went to the default directory, im guessing not the emacs/site directory, unless thats the default, how exactly do i make emacs detect the jdee now, please be as detailed as possible thanks

Here's a good walkthrough. It shouldn't be that hard, but I must admit I have never installed it manually (both Debian and Gentoo has packages that auto-installs and Emacs picks it up right away).

Note that you won't see the JDE or Java menus in Emacs until you have actually opened a Java source file.
