MikeyCarter Member Registered: Feb 2003 Location: Orangeville Distribution: Fedora Posts: 492 Rep:	Java 1.4.1 and Netscape 7.1 OS: RedHat 9.0 Kernel: 2.4.20-18.9 Netscape: 7.1 Java: 1.4.2 The company I work for has application/x-java-bean;jpi-version=1.4.1 hard coded an all their java applications. I just installed Netscape 7.1 only to find that 1.4.1 doesn't work you need to upgrade to application/x-java-bean;jpi-version=1.4.2. Thus the applications say can't find plugin. Since I don't have access to change the 20 or so applications is there a way I can fool netscape into thinking the application/x-java-bean;jpi-version=1.4.1 is installed and point it to the 1.4.2 install?
