jabberd
Hello everyone! I'm new to linux and don't know much about networking either. I use archlinux at the moment.
I want to have a jabber server on my computer, so I don't need to use any public server. I want it to work with icq/msn/aim/yahoo...
I can install it correct (I think), using the arch builds for it. Then I followed the instructions and install guide at the official homepage, but I just couldn't get it up and running! I've uninstalled and reinstalled it quite a few times. As it is now, I have installed it and only changed the localhost to the echo of #hostname. Now what? I have no idea what to do! When starting it up I only get:
"readline() on closed filehandle CFG at /usr/bin/jabberd line 98.
ERROR: No jobs to launch."
Running jabberd again gives me "broken pipe"...
I really need help fixing this! I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, the install guide is no more help and google can't find anything new! :-/
