Issues with Mint 18 32 bit.

Thanks for allowing me to join. I have two issues with Mint Mate 18 32 bit I'm trying to address and haven't had any luck.

Here goes:

When I go to the task bar at the bottom of the page and right click on it and go to ADD TO PANEL, there used to be a option [DISK MOUNTER, which you could add to mount USB sticks and additional HDD's, that's no longer there. There was also a way to display the TRASH CAN there as well. Both options were there in ADD TO PANEL, prior to the first update of the OS, then vanished.

My second issue is UPDATE MANAGER showed I needed an update then when I clicked on it to update the wheel just spins but fails to update. The first updates worked after the initial install, now I have to update via the terminal. I used these commands: sudo apt-get update, and sudo apt-get upgrade, which worked but I'd rather not do it that way. I have it set for level 1-3 updates only.

TIA.

Adee1,

Welcome to LQ.

Right clicking on bottom toolbar using Linux Mint 18 MATE 64 bit shows Add to Panel.

Disk Mounter is alive and well as one of the options.

So is Wastebasket.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, but I have 32 bit, both were alive and well right up until the first update. I'm tempted to go back to 17.3.
