Issues with GnuCash

Installed GnuCash on a e627 laptop. Running Zorin version 9, based on Ubuntu 14.04. Installed via Software Centre. Worked fine until I rebooted. Here is what I get when running from a terminal session. Any idea what it causing it, and better still how to correct?

This seems to be an old bug in Gnucash: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...ar/+bug/770304

The bug report gives a temporary fix of setting the variable LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0

The bug report also says that the bug was fixed in Ubuntu on 2013-9-20. Perhaps you should try installing the latest version of Gnucash.

Thanks Steve, but running 2.6.4. Also removed and reinstalled several times, and from several repositories with no change.

John Ralls, one of the developers gave me the solution when I reported it through Bugzilla:

rm -rf ~/.cache/guile/ccache/
