issue with one of the ntp client going out of sync

Hi,

We have cent os 6.2 x86_64 servers (around 50). All are synced to the same ntp server and all have same conf and hardware. However, one of the 50 servers always remains out of sync. We have tried to keep it in sync many time, but unfortunately it goes out of sysnc. This client is able to communicate with ntp server properly.

from the client :

ntpq -p
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
==============================================================================
ntp1.ab.cd.ef 10.208.0.31 4 u 36 64 377 0.205 25288.3 2882.28

Can something be suggested?

Have you tried using the deprecated ntpdate command along with your ntp server?

eg:
Quote:
ntpdate 0.centos.pool.ntp.org

This probably means the drift is bigger than NTP client can handle. As a workaround running ntpdate as a cronjob might help. Do you have a keyboard problem?

keyboard problem?
Also, regarding running ntp client in crontab, it becomes manual process and is workaround only,is it due to some hardware issue?
