Issue with nvidia driver and getting my 4k monitor setup
Hello,
I am using Arch Linux. I have had nothing but issues trying to get my resolution to read 4k. I have a new graphic card that is 4k (connected by a hdmi 2.0 cable). I have the nouveau driver installed and it will only let me choose the max resolution of 1920x1080.
I installed the latest nvidia driver, however, that did not work. When creating the xorg.conf file, restarting...I rec'd a message that the lightdmservice was not started. Tried that and no luck either.
Not sure if there is a way I could just use the nouveau driver and tweak somehow for the 2160 resolution or if there is an option to get nvidia to work?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you - Frank
