ISO CD's --- HOW TO MAKE for Installation
I have paid for and downloaded the ISO files for Red Hat Enterprise. Now I have 4 Files on my Windows System and I also have them in a Download directory on my Linux Box whic is presently Running Fedora 3.0. How or what do I do now to get them on a CD Each that can be read for installation. I can get them on a CD but I know that wont work because they are just 1 Huge file each so I definitly am missing something..
Okat thanks to All I now have the 4 ISO Images on a CD and now I have to figure out how to get the System to either boot from the CD or allow me to Install these from the CD.. I guess I am just in the Dark Here. Since I have tried everything to get these to Install I am definitly open to any suggestion. Thanks Leo Leavitt :Pengy: |
In your burning program you need to tell it to burn an image. In Nero you would use file->make CD from image or something like that. Then it will ask you for a file and you would click on one of the .ISO files you downloaded. Then hit burn. This should be the similar for most burning programs.

http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/howtoburn.html Both pages have articles on burning isos. Don't forget to check the checksums first. |
A free lightweight burner program can be found here: Make sure you select ISO image at burn time, not data disk, otherwise you will be creating coasters
