.iso=.rar?


i've downloaded the new slackware 10.1 iso files and when they got on my pc they were .rar? I don't know how that happend and when i burned them on a cd and rebooted and it wouldn't work. Can anybody solve this I thank you

EDIT
see: when i download the iso
slackware-10.1-install-d1.iso
wich is a: WinRAR archive

It's probably windows being peculiar. You need to burn them as an image, not just copy them to a CD.

I bet you installed winrar and made it the default application for opening zipped and iso files. Anyway you need to use something like Nero and burn the CD image and not just copy the iso to the CD as mentioned above.
