Is Yast2 Limited ?
I am using Suse 9.1 Personal and YaST2 won't go to any sites and add sources which are 9.1 Professional.
It comes back with either:
- Can't cd to the "i386 directory" in the tree if I try to use the modify source screen
- No sources to add or plain hands if I try to add the FTP directory in the install software screen.
If I use Konquerer to go to a FTP site and point to the YaST to add source directory, it comes back with an idiotic "infomation" dialog box with nothing but an "i" .. and cancel button .. worst than what ms used to do !!!
Any hints on what to do ?

Have you tried to add the FTP server to the installation sources in Yast?
Yast -> Software -> Change Source of Installation -> Add -> FTP
Server: ftp.suse.com (change to near mirror)
Directory: pub/suse/i386/9.1 (start without slash, end at the directory with the desired version #)
And then use the normal software installation module in Yast.

I have .. and it does nothing but hang on a window sayes "adding installation source"
and it just sits there !!!
Othertimes it bombs (if I pointo to a folder say ... i386/9.1/suse/i586 ) it comes back with something like
no E_src .. dialog box.
It seems like it only wants to install from the CD rom correctly !!!

Sure that the server accepts new connections? Choose another mirror!
Maybe your connection is slow. It takes some time to read the source...
As I said before, end in the dir with the version number, don't go deeper.
