i think your complete answer is that, yes, winex is freely distributable, but depends on components that are not. but i didn't actually read all that, i've just always heard winex is distrubitable... oh, and they'd rather you just paid for cedega... i think that's their ultimate goal...
Some of the installshield components and no-cd code that is in the cedega binaries is not GPL. You can, however, build Cedega from CVS if you like, directions on doing this can be found here http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/...p?articleid=45
From what I understand the Aladin (sp?) license allows you to re-distribute anything licensed with Aladin so long as you don't make money from it. I'm not 100% sure if all the componets of cedega are licensed with Aladin so it could be as one of the above posters said, some of Cedega is re-distributable, but not all.
