Is there something better for torrents than azureus?

Hello
I have been using azureus for a while now and suddently it stoped working. It loads up and then the program just closes. Since i always thought that azureus uses up alot of memory, is there anything better ? If not does anyone know how to fix my problem?

Thank you!

I found ktorrent to be pretty solid:

http://ktorrent.org/

It feels kinda like UTorrent, which is my favorite torrent client for Windows. In the case you want to try, UTorrent works great with wine.

If you want to fix azureus, try running it from a terminal and posting the error messages you get when it closes.

Regards!

I second ktorrent. Usually if Azureus is closing it is a problem with your java.

I just use Azureus, but rtorrent(ncurses), fluxtorrent (webbased) and rufus(python) are supposed to be very good clients.

It depends on what features you need, most other clients don't allow selecting individual files in the torrents etc... I also have issues on my connection (which is slow anyway) and Azureus seems to be the fastest.

Yup - Ktorrent for me too. Loved Azureus on Windows, hate it on Linux. The "closes right away" problem appears to be a problem with certain .torrent files - but the same files work fine in other clients so I dono for sure what the deal is.
I'm not *thrilled* with Ktorrent either, but it's the best I've tried so far.
