Is there linux software that will enable me to extract audio from a .mpg format video and reinsert it into the video? I want to clean up the audio because there is a lot of crackling and hissing. A program kinda like Sony Vegas.

try avifile player suite and broadcast 2000 (or higher)

Ok, how about this: Is there linux software for extracting/editing audio from a .mpg format movie and then reinserting it? I've seen the error of my ways. Thanks.
