I've been looking for backup software that could backup Linux servers, windows server(NT) & Win(98-XP) workstation clients. The problem I've run across is that my tape drives (I have 2 of them) are on 2 different servers, which I would have to span the larger backup jobs across both servers (Both Red Hat 9). From what I found out most companies are not capable of this. We currently use tapeware which runs good for a few weeks then just crashes and causes all kinds of problems. If anyone has any good Ideas, or backup software they use please let me know.

we have a few people who keep stuff on their windows system and not our fileserver, because they want security from everyone. go figure.

Its probably out of your range but if this is for a company, should really look at using Veritas or Netbackup for backing up to tape drives.
