Hi i want full featured yahoo messenger on linux(Fedora 7)..

I am using Gyanch improved yahoo messenger with voice chat ...that's good. I want yahoo voice out feature (calling telephones ) that i could get with windows version of messenger. I tried installing windows version on WINE . I suceeded. But after entering username and password to log in the application is getting closed..

what is reason behind it?
Is there any other way to use yahoo voice out..because i bought minutes to call .they will get expired if don't use.

IS any other messenger client supports the voice out feature..

Please help me..
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the linux yahoo messenger client, it is only supported on x86-32 bit, but it might have the feature you want.

I doubt it. The Linux version of Yahoo Messenger is very basic in comparison to the Windows one. AFAIK Y! Messenger for Linux only supports text chat and file transfer.

Gyach-based messengers are the best I have found for Yahoo chat in Linux. All I can suggest is trying a different fork of Gyach.

I am using now gyach but it is taking nearly 2 to 3 minutes on 150kbps to login and show my buddy list. It is very slow and some times it is getting closed unexpectedly...

can any body tell me some other fork version of Gyach..which supports voice chat ,webcam and if possible yahoo voice out also...

Thanks

The simple answer your your title question is no.

The official linux release from Yahoo is so outdated most systems don't even have the old system files needed to install it any more, and even when it was current it was still garbage compared to the Windows version.
The actual Windows version won't run under Wine.
And the "copycat" programs for Linux generally only have the most basic compatibility.

I have to say I love Linux, but I really, really miss Yahoo Messenger.
