Is there a video chat program that works with ubuntu?

I have one of the new mini dells and it has a built in web cam and I am looking for a program that will allow me to see and be seen by family and friends when we are online chatting.
I should add that all my family and friends use windows live and yahoo messengers so I need one that will work to chat with windows live and yahoo messenger.

Just got a Dell mini 10 two days ago and installed Linux Mint on it.The webcam isn't detected and I don't know what drivers are needed.Sorry I cant answer your question but I'm in need as the same help as you.I normally run Slackware but put Mint on my daughters new notebook. All works well apart from the webcam.I have never uses Mint before and Im stuck.

Maybe I should have added that my friends and family all use windows live or yahoo messenger, do either of the programs you mentioned work with those?

I don't know, but I doubt it. Can't you get them to install Skype in order to do video with you? BTW, I'd suggest you verify that your webcam is Linux-compatible first, as if it's not then your quest for a suitable application would be in vain.

Kopete 3.5.10 supported MSN Messenger/live webcams, if you can't still find it, it will work (version 4+ lost the support, but will have it back soon)
