Is there a program which can notify you of new Hotmail messages? (Simillar to MSN)

I'm in the process of moving from Window$ XP to Mepis, and the one thing I miss is being able to check my Hotmail without logging in via a browser (You know, MSN 7 tells you when you have Hotmail). I've replaced MSN with aMSN, but I am looking for a program which can tell me when I have Hotmail.

AMSN notifies you of new mail. Gaim too, just enable the option while setting up the MSN account.
