Is there a Linux programing lang similar to visual basic

Hi

I was wondering if there is a Linux programming language similar to
Microsoft’s Visual Basic. I took a class in college with Visual Basic
and thought it was fun to play with.

Since I’ve switched to Ubuntu I haven’t done any programming and thought
it might be fun to learn a Linux based language.

Your suggestions are appreciated.

Hey, you can use the .NET platform on Linux and develop all those applications (which you do on VB etc.) using Mono!
