Is there a good road map program for linux?

Hello,

I recently installed mandrake 10 on my Dell Laptop and I'm really enjoying the package. The distrabution has everything I need to do all my work and schedualing.

But there is one thing missing, I travel a lot with my job, and I've grown to really rely on Delorme Street Atlas for helping me find my way around.

Unfortunately they don't have a linux version of the software.

If anyone could point me in the right place where I can get / purchase a quality map program like Delorme Street Atlas for Linux, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
- Pahbi

RoadMap and US-map for USA only. www.undertowsoftware.com for a cd of US atlas. www.cheeplinux.com for European maps.

10-4 driver. Have yourself a safe ride. Hope the links work out. Just remember to call ahead and verify directions. I've had a few that routed me into low overhead clearances. Makes for a bad day when you're on a tight schedule. Most of these mapping apps are intended for 4-wheelers. We need one for CDL-A specs, something like the Rand-McNally Commercial Drivers Atlas.

Have a look at GPSDrive as well. It's one of my favorites.

I'm at work so I can't test this, but the WINE software looks interesting.

Has anyone tried it with Microsoft Streets and Trips 2004? This is the map software I currently own.

Thanks,
- Pahbi

wine works pretty good for some things (rand mcnally streets and maps for one) if you install it (using mandrake) do urpmi wine and it goes right in, only thing is to get a wine config file, wine must have this to run. to use your cdrom to install things, i found making a link under .wine to it i.e.
ln -s ~/.wine/drive_d /mnt/cdrom

if you need a wine config file, e-mail me and i'll send you a copy of mine, and tell you where it should go
