Is there a DVD Shrink alternative simple enough for my mother to use?

I'm trying to get my whole family to go Linux-only, except that the most important thing to achieve that goal would be a DVD Shrink replacement easy enough for my mother to use (E.g., like DVD Shrink, one click backup) I've heard of people being able to use DVD Shrink in Linux, but I've had no success in that with Slackware 10.1 and WINE 20050524. If someone could recommend a replacement or even helping me out getting DVD Shrink to work correctly, I would be most appreciative

the quick answer is no. a little bit longer answer is that dvd::rip (gui) with the transcode back end is not *too* bad. what i mean is that the gui is actually quite excellent, only it might be a little overwhelming for a person used to a much simpler dvd-shrink interface and options.

but if you could learn the gui, you could show them much easier than they could probably learn for themselves, having to sort through all the options, etc. iow, for most stuff, it could be *about* as easy as dvd-shrink, once they have learned a few basic concepts and are over the learning curve (most of which in this scenario you would be doing for them ).
