Is it possible to install softwares from an ISO file located on a Windows partition?

everyone, I am going to live-cd-install Fedora 9 as the second OS on my laptop, the first is Windows XP whose file system is NTFS. I actually got a DVD(a .iso file) on the Windows partition, but I only have a CD burner.
I was adviced to boot the installation program directly from the disk so I don't have to burn the DVD, but this requires reformatting the partition to FAT, which I don't really want to do cause I don't have extra space for all the stuff that reside on that partition.

so I wonder if I can first off live-cd-install the OS through my CD-ROM, and then install securely(by securely, I mean, not causing any data loss) all softwares I need from the DVD on the NTFS partition.

maybe most of you would suggest that just installing the OS from a Live CD, and just *yum* all softwares I need directly from internet, that would be cool if I have a fast bandwidth, but I don't.

Please help clearing my doubt.
Thank you in advance.
