is httpd the same apache?!!!!!


Hi there

is the native https ( httpd-2.0.52 in redhat as4) the same apache ( I feel not )

if not , which one is better to use?
or what is the best http server ?

On some distros apache refers to apache 1 and httpd to apache 2.

Apache is a product that comes in two main versions: 1 and 2. For both, httpd is the name of the executable daemon that is responsible for running the HTTP server (hence its name).

Much like most IMAP servers, whatever their names, come with a daemon named "imapd"...
