I installed ctorrent on friday - version v1.3.2 (also installed openSSL and screen) and tried to download a few torrents.

at the beginning everything looked ok, but none of the downloads actually started and even some of the trackers replied with a message '... upgrade your client... '

I thought, maybe is something wrong with the trackers (or the torrent files), so I openned Azureus - but the torrents worked fine (the downloads started almost immediately)

Has somebody had a similar problem with ctorrent ? (btw, I'm not using a firewall)

I've had similar problems with ctorrent recently... But I just ruled the out to be related to by iptables firewall...

but have you tried ctorrent recently and worked fine ?
