I've been using Firefox under Ubuntu for a long time. I finally decided to switch to Chrome since it seems like a much more stable browser. I usually keep a bunch of browser windows open and use session manager & session buddy.

So anyway I was cutting and pasting URL's from FF to chrome and after a few windows, Chrome started giving me that error message 'snap, can't display' etc... I figured either it didn't have enough memory or needed to be updated, so I got the latest version and gave Ubuntu more RAM. (VirtualBox...)

This time I didn't get that error message, but after a couple more new windows Chrome crashed! WTF!

So is Chrome under linux not so great? It has seemed very solid under windows.

I run 64 bit Opera Developer instead of Chrome in my Ubuntu based boxes.
So I can;t comment on Chrome. I used to run Chromium but uninstalled it when I became happier running Opera.
