Irritating plugin popup message in mozilla

Greetings all,

I am very fond of mozilla, over firefox and the rest of the browser cast, but one thing constantly nips at my ample rear about it.

I hate flash. It's not that it's not fun to make silly videos or useful web applets, it's that it is now used almost exclusively for advertisements, animated ones at that. In choosing not to install flash (I don't have a whole lot of choice, as my architecture is amd64 [I am aware of x86_64 flash players, but I don't give a flying f@ck about them]), I am continually presented by mozilla with an obtrusive message insisting that I hurry immediately to macromedia.com to install what mozilla apparently thinks is the answer to all my failed hopes and dreams.

I have hunted high and low for a fix to get rid of this popup, and have come up empty. if someone knows how I can get rid of this, please let me know. Thanks much.

Mozilla RULES!

in your mozilla plugin directory, for example, mine's in /usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.11/plugins/, it depends on your distro, version , and/or where you decided to install it,

there's a plugin called "libnullplugin.so", taking that out should remove that annoying pop-up

Holy crap on a stick! It works! Thanks a lot man, you have made my browsing experience tenfold better.

And I do concur, mozilla rules. Thanks again!
